The following cycles are not intended to be used by people who have never cycled before. You should have completed at least one or two cycles before considering the ones below.
Steroid Cycles for Beginners
The second, and optional, compound in this cycle is called Deca-Durabolin, or "Deca" for short (Nandrolone Decanoate). This is an injectable steroid made by altering the testosterone molecule (removing a specific carbon atom) in such a way that it now converts to estrogen at a much lower rate then testosterone, and actually has a higher anabolic rating as well. This should be taken with a grain of salt, however, because although Deca is a great steroid, very few people would argue that it´s better than testosterone for gains. Gains tend to be very high quality with Deca, and produce a much harder look to the physique, in general. Sore joints as well as aches and pains also seem to disappear for most athletes when they include Deca in their cycles. Adding it into this beginner´s cycle is perfect for older trainees or those with injuries. IT can, however, cause sexual dysfunction if used without testosterone. That is why it´s an addition to this cycle, and not the base of it.
A cycle like this should provide a beginning steroid user with over twenty pounds of new body weight if a proper diet and training regimen is followed. As a really nice side benefit, the Deca-Durabolin is going to provide the seasoned lifter with a very soothing effect on their joints, and therefore the ability to use heavier weights. A bit of this weight is going to be water retention, but since only the testosterone is really a concern there, it shouldn´t be much of a problem. In fact, Deca only has about a fifth the ability to convert to estrogen as testosterone does. In my experience, the weight gained on a cycle like this is much more "nice looking" than on a straight testosterone cycle. In other words, even though the two steroids being used can both convert to estrogen, only the testosterone does so at any appreciable rate. If a clean, high calorie diet is followed, most, if not all, of the "watery" look that´s common with first time steroid users can be avoided. Of course if you eat everything in sight, you´ll gain more weight and strength, but it´s not going to be pretty... Also, it´s important to note that it´s a very good idea to do at least 20 minutes of cardio work three or four times a week while on a cycle, to keep your cardiovascular system running optimally, and able to support all of the new weight (and stress) you are placing on it.
